Octopus Dive Center

Octopus Dive Center runs from Jemeluk Bay in Amed, on Bali's quieter east coast 30 minutes south of Tulamben. The shop caps groups at four divers per guide as a hard rule, runs out of a single small base, and most of the dive sites are 5-15 minutes by jukung (traditional outrigger) from the beach. Macro is the focus — nudibranchs, frogfish, ghost pipefish on the Jemeluk slope — with the Japanese Patrol Boat wreck at Banyuning and the Pyramids artificial reef nearby.

Best for divers who want small groups, an unhurried pace, and a base in a black-sand village rather than a busy dive town. Day trips to Tulamben are easy from Amed and the shop runs them on demand. Less suited to divers wanting fast boats, multi-region itineraries from one address, or full IDC career-path training.
