Koh Tao Scuba Club
Koh Tao Scuba Club is a Thai family-owned PADI 5★ centre that opened in Mae Haad in 2014. The shop is smaller than the big-volume operators and the family operates it directly, which shapes the experience — instructors are kept on long term, group sizes stay tight, and the multilingual staff covers Swedish, English, Thai, German and French. The Mae Haad base puts it within walking distance of the pier and central food and accommodation.
No on-site accommodation — they partner with nearby guesthouses and can recommend options to suit budget. The course range covers DSD through divemaster with a focus on quality of teaching over volume. Suits Scandinavian and European divers who value working in their own language, smaller class sizes, and a more personal feel. Less suited to those wanting a one-stop dive resort with everything on site.
