Bali Diving Academy

Bali Diving Academy runs from a beachfront base in Tulamben, a short walk from the Liberty wreck entry point. The operation sits in the middle of the Tulamben market — bigger than the boutique shops, smaller than the resort-based operators on the south coast — and the course menu covers everything from try-dives for kids through Divemaster intern programmes. The shop has its own accommodation block, a small pool used for confined sessions, and a restaurant facing the beach. Daily Open Water start dates run year-round.

Best for families with mixed certification levels, divers wanting a Tulamben week with full amenities on-site, and Open Water students who'd rather train at a wreck site than in a swimming-pool town. Less suited to divers wanting boutique-sized groups or to those who'd prefer Amed's quieter pace.
