Sunrise Divers

Sunrise Divers has been a Patong fixture since the late 1990s, originally as a Swedish-run operation. The shop is unusual in being primarily a liveaboard booking specialist rather than a day-trip operator first. They sell berths across most of the Phuket and Khao Lak fleet — Similan, Surin, Richelieu Rock, the Burma Banks — and act as a clearing house for last-minute spots and group bookings.

Day trips run alongside, mostly to Racha Yai and Phi Phi, but the real reason to walk into the Patong office is to plan a liveaboard. Course menu is the standard PADI range up to Divemaster. Suits divers planning a multi-day liveaboard who want one English- and Swedish-speaking point of contact across multiple boats. Less suited to people who only want a single day trip from Phuket — bigger day-trip-first shops will give you a sharper price.
